Preschool News Week of December 19-22

What We've Been Learning:

Whole Group Learning:

We read the books: The Jacket I Wear in the Snow, Pete the Cat Saves Christmas, and Llama Llama Holiday Drama.  In our readings we identified concepts of print, rhyming words and focused on identifying the sounds that words start with especially those we have learned in Jolly Phonics.  


Small Group Learning:

  • Cooking: Decorating Sugar Cookies
  • Christmas playdoh mats
  • Creating Pattern strips by cutting and gluing paper.
  • Christmas roll and record graphing

Center Time Learning:

We will be moving on to a new topic of study in January....clothing!  A letter will be sent home explaining more in January!


Reminders:

Early out schedule on Thursday, December 22.  This is a pajama day!

8:15-10:15 AM Class
11:15-1:00 PM Class (Please bring a sack lunch).

Christmas break will be from December 23-Jan. 2.  Classes resume Jan. 3.
