I would like to take the opportunity to share with you that this year our preschool is participating in PBIS along with the rest of Keystone Elementary.  PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention Supports.  In preschool we have been focusing on learning what it means to be caring, safe, responsible and respectful.  We have "rules" posters that we go over each day that have pictures of what each of these characteristics look like for our preschoolers.  Because the focus of this program is to reward positive behavior and encourage students to be self motivated to make great choices, we have developed a punch card for our students.  Every time we catch our students making great choices, they receive a punch on their ticket.  For every punch they receive, they have the opportunity to purchase prizes with their punches from our PBIS store that Mrs. Bishop (our school counselor) will be bringing around on a cart every few weeks.  It is very motivating to our students to earn those punches!  If you have any further questions regarding this, please let me know.
